Whiskeywhiskey
White Whiskey / Moonshine
American moonshine culture spans the colonial era through Prohibition and into the modern era. The craft moonshine movement (2000s+) created a legal market for the style but with mixed results — some interesting products, a lot of marketing fluff.
Flavor Profile
Harsh, hot, limited complexity. Primarily grain character with raw alcohol heat. Educational value: taste white dog next to aged bourbon from the same mashbill and the barrel's contribution becomes viscerally obvious. Some craft expressions show interesting grain character.
