AgaveTequila

Tequila Reposado

Emerged as a commercial category alongside tequila's industrialization. Lighter American oak influence became standard as US export markets developed taste for 'smoother' tequila. Became Mexico's best-selling domestic category before Cristalino's recent surge.

Flavor Profile

Bridge expression: retains cooked agave sweetness and vegetal bite but gains vanilla, light caramel, and gentle spice from wood contact. Pale gold. Warmer and rounder than Blanco; less wood-dominated than Añejo. Dominant nodes: Sweet-Caramel, Herbal-Green, Vanilla-Oak. The versatile middle tier — complexity without losing agave identity.
