Tequila's most traditional form — no barrel required. The category that shows the pure plant. As tequila industrialized from the 1750s forward, Blanco remained the production baseline and the standard against which every other expression is measured.
Flavor Profile
Pure agave expression — bright, clean, vegetal, peppery, citrus peel. Highland expressions (Los Altos): sweeter, fruitier, tropical (banana, cooked pineapple), rounder. Lowland expressions (Tequila Valley): earthier, more mineral, vegetal, peppery, drier. Dominant nodes: Herbal-Green, Citrus-Bright. No barrel influence. Best showcases distillation quality.
