AgaveTequila

Tequila 100% Agave

The 100% agave distinction became commercially and legally formalized as tequila's quality divide in the 1990s–2000s, as premium brands and the craft cocktail movement drove demand for genuine agave character. The most important piece of information on a tequila label.

Flavor Profile

Full expression of agave terroir, roasting method, and production character. Flavor varies enormously by region (Highland vs. Lowland), production method (tahona vs. roller mill), and aging. The agave plant's dominant flavor nodes — Herbal-Green, Citrus-Bright, mineral — are fully present without dilution from non-agave sugars.
