Mexicano Mezcal
Mexicano (Agave rhodacantha) has been part of mezcal production tradition in Oaxaca and Durango for generations. Its wide cultivation and accessible flavor made it a regional staple before export market demand created the category awareness of the 2010s.
Flavor Profile
Bright agave, moderate smoke, tropical fruit, citrus zest. Cleaner and more balanced than some wild varieties — less distinctive but well-structured. More fruit-forward character than Espadín with slightly less smoke dominance. A solid second mezcal for programs expanding beyond Espadín.
