Whiskeyrye-whiskey

Maryland-Style Rye

Maryland rye was a distinct pre-Prohibition regional tradition alongside Pennsylvania rye. Both were largely wiped out by Prohibition and the subsequent shift to bourbon. Sagamore Spirit is the most prominent modern revival of the Maryland tradition.

Flavor Profile

Lighter, fruitier, less assertively spicy than Pennsylvania-style or high-rye expressions. The corn addition softens the grain's edge.
