Whiskey - Tennessee whiskey
CoreTennessee (Lynchburg / Tullahoma / Nashville)
Famous For
ABV40-50%. Most at 40% (Jack Daniel's) or 50% (Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Proof, George Dickel BiB).
Tasting Notes
Maple, charcoal, banana, caramel, vanilla, brown sugar, light smoke, corn sweetness, toasted oak. The Lincoln County Process adds a smoothness and faint maple quality that distinguishes Tennessee from standard bourbon. George Dickel uses chill filtration before charcoal mellowing, which produces an even smoother, slightly mineral character.
