Tasting Notes

Tar, dried fruit, brown sugar, treacle, dark toffee, leather, pot-still funk (when Jamaican-influenced), burnt caramel, allspice, clove, molasses, dark chocolate, maritime salt (yes, really — barrel-aged rum shipped by sea picks up a saline note). The finish should be long and warming. If it just burns, add water.
