Tasting Notes
Burnt sugar, molasses, iron, dark chocolate, coffee, tar, licorice, black treacle, prune, raisin, earth. Blackstrap rums add a mineral bitterness that is almost savory. Dark rums should taste heavy and saturated — if it tastes like gold rum with food coloring, that is exactly what it is.
