Tasting Notes
Saffron, honey, fennel, pine, tangerine zest, almond, angelica, myrrh, warm spice. Rich, silky mouthfeel. The saffron-honey combination is the signature — golden and complex. More herbal than sweet, despite the sugar content.
Brand Guide
Single producer: Bénédictine D.O.M. ($30-35, 40% ABV) — the only true Bénédictine. B&B Bénédictine & Brandy ($28-32) — pre-blended drier version from the 1930s. Owned by Bacardi (via Martini & Rossi acquisition). No genuine competitors exist — Drambuie ($25-30) occupies adjacent honey-herbal space but is Scotch-based.
