Tasting Notes

Prune, dried fig, dark chocolate, leather, tobacco, vanilla, cinnamon, caramel, walnut, dried orange peel. Bas-Armagnac: delicate, fruity. Tenareze: full, spicy. Young: more grape; old: more rancio (oxidative character from decades). Armagnac should be rustic compared to Cognac.

The Story

Gascony's original brandy—older, wilder, and more elemental than its refined Cognac cousin.
