CoreNorway (Linie), Sweden (O.P. Anderson / Aalborg), Denmark (Aalborg), United States (craft movement)
Famous For
Tasting Notes
Caraway (dominant — bread-like, warm, slightly bitter), dill (fresh, herbaceous, green), anise (supporting note), fennel, citrus peel, coriander, warm spice. Linje-aged expressions add sherry oak sweetness, vanilla, dried fruit. Unaged Swedish style: bright, clean, herbal, like rye bread in liquid form. The caraway is the signature — if you can taste caraway, you can identify aquavit.
